Bringhurst named number one primary school in Leicestershire

Pupils and staff at Bringhurst Primary School have been celebrating after being ranked number one in The Times School League Tables for Leicestershire.

The tables, which compare the Year 6 SATs results of primary school pupils across the county, show that a staggering 100% of Bringhurst’s pupils achieved the required Combined Level 4 results – an accolade only shared with a handful of other schools in the county.

In addition, over half of pupils achieved Combined Level 5 grades, with many pupils making more than expected progress across every single subject area.

Mrs Watson, Headteacher, said: “I am delighted with these results, as it reflects the hard work put in by our pupils and staff.

"We pride ourselves on our educational performance and our positive, nurturing environment where we encourage every child to achieve their very best."
Wendy Marshall, Chief Executive of the David Ross Education Trust, added: "I am immensely proud of Bringhurst Primary School for this achievement. The future looks increasingly bright for this academy, and I am pleased that this has been recognised nationally."
