COP26 at Bringhurst
Over the next couple of weeks, we are taking the opportunity to enrich our learning around sustainability and climate change across the school as the UK hosts the COP26 Summit in Glasgow. This important subject is already part of our science and geography curriculum but to further knowledge and understanding, there are a number of additional activities that children will experience in different year groups. We are delighted to be welcoming a member of the Rutland Youth Parliament into school to talk to all children about the Transform our World (ToW) Youth Climate Summit. After the assembly, children will be learning more about the importance of COP26 and the Youth Climate Summit and will be logging into live sessions and accessing webinars in class. We are also looking forward to re-starting our Eco-Club this term to continue our learning and work towards one of our school aims – We know we can make a difference.
